Working mainly with acrylic on canvas, he creates abstract paintings through layers of color, spontaneous marks, texture, and movement. His process moves between intention and accident, and between control and chaos.
Rather than starting with a completely planned image, Halakoei allows each painting to develop naturally. Colors meet, layers cover and reveal one another, and unexpected forms appear along the way.
For Halakoei, abstract art does not need to give everyone the same answer. He wants each work to leave space for the viewer to find their own feeling, memory, or meaning within it.
